As well as growing a wide variety of plant subjects and providing a broad range of educational services the department of horticulture also provides services, such as contract making for hanging baskets. The department has successfully provided local councils with this service for several years.
In addition, the staff at Twyn yr Hydd have supplied pots and containers to enhance events such as trade shows, presentations, weddings etc. The department provided the floral containers for the Urdd Eisteddfod when it came to Margam Park.
Contract grass cutting, planting, routine maintenance and landscaping can all be provided by the qualified staff working with the department.
