This award is designed for those responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of assessment decisions.

trainingwales’ premises and the Candidate Assessor's workplace.

 

Who Should Attend

Those who wish to internally verify or externally verify candidates who are working towards National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) and ensuring quality standards.

 

Entry Qualifications

Applicants should have the following:

  • You must have the A1 Award or the D32/33
  • You must also meet the occupational competence requirements of the qualification that you wish to verify
  • Ideally working as an internal verifier within your organisation and meeting with an external verifier to get the evidence needed for the qualification
  • Access to registered NVQ candidates.

 

Course Content

Units to be covered:

V1.1 Conduct internal quality assurance of the assessment process

V1.2 Support Assessors

V1.3 Monitor the quality of assessors performance

V1.4 Meet external quality assurance requirements

 

Method of Assessment

Assessor Candidates prepare a portfolio demonstrating their competence as an assessor. They are also observed carrying out assessments and giving feedback to their candidates.
