This course provides comprehensive training on the safe and effective operation of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) in the Mobile Verical (3A) category.
The course covers both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, including pre-use inspections, safe operating procedures, hazard awareness, and emergency descent techniques, ensuring operators can handle MEWPs confidently and in compliance with industry safety standards.

Course Content
This course covers:
- Pre-use checks and machine familiarisation
- Basic harness selection and pre-use checks
- Modular, category-specific training containing detailed information about the machine category features, mechanisms & controls
- Safe MEWP operations
- Work-site inspections
- Key hazards and mitigation
Method of Assessment
The course consists of a theory section and test followed by practical training and a test.
Certification
Successful candidates will receive a digital PAL Card, accessed via the IPAF ePAL operator app.
