Fire Warden Training - Description:

This Fire Warden training course is designed to give the employee a basic insight into fire safety and the use of fire extinguishers.
 

Who should attend this course:

This course should be attended by the responsible person who will be the main duty holder for producing the FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT and will need to look at how to prevent fire from occurring by removing or reducing hazards and risks (ignition sources) and then ensure that people are adequately protected from fire, and provided with suitable and sufficient means of escape to a place of safety.

This course is also suitable for anyone who would like to a fire extinguisher to improve their knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.

Fire Warden - Course Content:

The main objectives of the Fire Warden training course are to:

• Specify the requirements for Fire
• Identify potential fire hazards
• Demonstrate how to use the extinguishers in your workplace
• Identify the importance of being proactive towards fire awareness.

Fire Warden - Method of Assessment:

At the end of the course, delegates will be able to understand the nature of fire, basic risk assessment techniques as required by law, control measures and emergency procedures within their workplace.
