ABBE Level 3 & 4 Diploma in Non-Domestic Energy Assessment

Description
This course provides a fantastic opportunity for those completely new to and familiar with the world of energy assessment, to become fully qualified Non-Domestic Energy Assessors (NDEAs).

The course is delivered by industry experts with real practical experience. They know the job inside and out, and deliver the course at a pace to suit all individuals.

The Level 3 qualification allows assessors to complete EPCs on all existing commercial buildings with common characteristics and simple conditioning systems.

The Level 4 qualification allows assessors to produce EPCs on existing commercial buildings without frequently occurring characteristics and complex conditioning systems. Level 4 NDEAs can also produce new build commercial EPCs.

Course Duration
5 days plus additional independent time working on assessment portfolio.

This course covers the following topics:

  • Professional Skills required to be a NDEA including:
  • Legislation, Health & Safety, Policies and Procedures, Contracts and Risk Assessments
  • Methods of construction for buildings
  • Building services systems
  • Data Entry into the SBEM Software
  • Advisory report and recommendations
  • Developing a sound understanding of the Building
  • Regulations and knowledge of thermal insulation products
  • Detailed calculation of U-values
  • Developing a more comprehensive understanding of building services
  • Producing a calculation from plans and a specification, then processing the data in the SBEM software
