Who should attend:
Aspiring Managers; those identified under progression management or practising middle managers who wish to develop their skills and experience, improve performance and prepare for senior management responsibilities.
Entry Qualifications:
There are no formal entry requirements, but delegates will normally be either practising or potential Managers who are able to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme. Candidates will be interviewed prior to programme start to ensure that they are comfortable with the assessment requirements.
Qualification Detail:
Delegates will receive the ILM Level 5 Award in Leadership and Management, totalling 9 Credits on the National Credit Framework
Course Content:
3 days facilitated, interactive workshops Candidates will also be expected to carry out personal research. The research and course content will cover the required Guided Learning Hours.
Method of Assessment:
Delegates will complete:
1 x 2,000 word reflective review on Becoming an Effective Leader
1 x 2,000 word work based assignment on ‘Developing & leading Teams to Achieve Objectives’. Full guidance will be provided.
Progression:
Successful completion of this programme will allow progression on to the ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management or ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
